Why Would I Listen to This Podcast?
Because there are a lot of unhappy people at work, and that is really bad for business. Research shows that when a workplace doesn’t feel like a safe place, people become guarded. And when people are guarded, they disconnect, and disengage.
UN-FUN FACT: When people are suffering, their performance is suffering too.
In 2017 The People Side created an experience called The Leadership Living Room. In this immersive experience, leadership teams would be invited to come together and engage in a thoughtfully designed conversation that got to the bottom of their conflict or disengagement. Together, we would reveal what was really happening at work in a safe and comfortable environment. These wholehearted conversations were transformative and often resulted in significant performance breakthroughs. In 2020, when in-person learning experiences were not possible, we decided to make a podcast that would continue our mission of ending suffering at work and share what might be the key to it all — creating a more deeply human, and safe, workplace. This podcast is intended to help business leaders create the conditions for human beings to thrive and perform better together.
On this podcast, we invite everyone (including you!) into more intimate conversations about work and provide access to world-class leadership development experts, executive coaches, and thought-leaders for these important topics.
